You can never have too many throws, right? Our lovely new wool throws are finally here, just in time for chilly autumn evenings on the sofa. You're probably familiar with the dotted pattern from our furniture, but our new pattern "Idea" is brand new. We asked our founder and designer Amelia Widell 3 quick questions.
Tell us about the throws!
– I have designed 3 throws that are jacquard woven in 100% New Zealand eco-certified wool. Being jacquard woven means the throws have a front and a back where the colors swap places. The different sides give quite different expressions, so you can vary them depending on your mood.
What were your thoughts when you designed the new "Idea" pattern?
– Idea is a pattern that comes from a painting I did a few years ago. I've received so many inquiries about selling the painting, so I thought it would be fun to use the motif in a different way. The small dot symbolizes a small thought that spins around and eventually becomes something much bigger.
How do we style our living room this autumn?
This autumn, I think we should maximize and push the boundaries. Bring in color, art, and sculptures and let your personality shine through. A great way to quickly make a change is to add a new cushion or throw, and here you might dare to introduce a new color or pattern.
