Are you unsure which material best suits your decor? Here's a guide to help you learn about our different materials.
We are proud to present our various materials, which are produced sustainably in factories where staff are well cared for, and which are designed to last a lifetime if treated correctly.
Thinking about velvet:
MeliMeli's velvet is a soft and luxurious material made from 100% cotton from Italy. The velvet has a Martindale rating of 100,000 units, making it incredibly durable. It is important to remember, however, that velvet is sensitive to water, so avoid washing the fabric with a wet cloth. If liquid is spilled on the velvet, it will not immediately soak into the fabric, but will instead sit on top as a film. Velvet can attract dust, and the best way to remove it is by vacuuming the fabric with a soft brush at regular intervals. A roller or clothes brush can also be used to easily spruce up the velvet fabric. If a pressure mark has appeared on your product, steam from a steam iron or a steamer can be used to smooth out the fabric.
Thinking about linen
MeliMeli's linen is a linen blend from Italy consisting of 28% cotton, 21% linen, and 51% viscose. Linen is made from natural fibers and is therefore a living material that changes and becomes more beautiful over time. To maintain the quality of the linen, we only recommend dry cleaning for our linen furniture. If liquid is spilled on your linen furniture, wipe it up with a dry cloth. If a stain occurs, use a wet wipe to remove the dirt.
Thinking about viscose
MeliMeli's NICO rug consists of 100% viscose. To maintain the quality of the rug, we recommend vacuuming it occasionally to remove dust, excess material, and dirt. When the rug is new, it may shed, but this will subside over time.
If liquid is spilled on the rug, wipe it up with a dry cloth and then stroke the rug in the direction of the pile. If a stain occurs, use a stain remover suitable for viscose rugs. For stubborn stains, dry cleaning is recommended, as our viscose rugs are not suitable for water washing. We also recommend using a rug pad and rotating the rug occasionally for even wear.
Thinking about teddy
Our teddy material has a composition of 80% acrylic and 20% polyester, which together form a soft and fine off-white fabric. To maintain the quality of the teddy material, we only recommend dry cleaning for our teddy products. If liquid is spilled on the product, wipe it up with a dry cloth. If a stain occurs, use a wet wipe to remove the dirt.
