Care

For all MELIMELI furniture, dry cleaning is recommended. Our linen mix is a living material that changes and becomes more and more beautiful over time.

To extend the lifespan and preserve the comfort of your seat cushions and back cushions, regular care is crucial. We have gathered some simple tips to ensure your cushions remain soft and supportive.

FLUFF REGULARLY

Seat cushions and back cushions should be fluffed once a week. For seat cushions, it works best to stand them on their edge or pat them from the side. Back cushions should be fluffed by placing them flat and then fluffing or patting them.

ROTATE INNER CUSHIONS

To distribute pressure evenly, rotate the inner cushions in both seat cushions and back cushions approximately every six months.

VARY YOUR SEATING POSITION

Another useful trick is to swap the positions of your back and seat cushions occasionally, as we often tend to sit in the same spot on the sofa. This helps to even out wear and tear and extends the life of the cushions.

SWEDEN

Delivery time

• Home decor items such as blankets, cushion covers, bedding, and ceramics are normally shipped within 2-7 business days.
• In-stock furniture is normally shipped within 3-14 business days.
• Made-to-order furniture is normally shipped within 6-8 weeks. During peak seasons, summer, and Christmas, custom orders are shipped within 9-11 weeks instead.

Delivery and carrying in

• Throughout Sweden, you can choose between curbside delivery or delivery with carrying into the designated location. The prices for this depend on where in the country you live and will be displayed at checkout when you enter your postal code. Please note that carrying in does notinclude unwrapping, assembly, or removal of packaging.
• In some parts of the country, you can also choose assembly with your delivery. This is subject to an additional cost and applies to our sofas, armchairs, and ottomans which are assembled by delivery personnel on site.
• If you have ordered products from our retail range with the shipping method Delivery to Post Office Agent, these will be sent with PostNord or DHL to your nearest post office agent. This also applies to retail products ordered in conjunction with a larger piece of furniture, such as a sofa or armchair.
• If you have ordered products from our retail range with the shipping method Pick Up Yourself, these can be collected from our store in Gamla Stan.
• Please be sure to measure door frames, stairs, and other spaces that may limit accessibility during delivery. As a consumer, you are responsible for ensuring that the furniture you have ordered can be delivered to the desired location. Returns due to limited space are handled as standard returns where you, as the customer, will be charged for failed delivery.
• Please note that you, as the customer, will be charged for return shipping and any new shipping cost if you are not home or for any other reason cannot receive your item at the agreed delivery time.

Archipelago deliveries

• For deliveries to the archipelago, delivery usually takes place to the last accessible point via road. If you wish for further delivery into the archipelago, for example to a ferry terminal or pier on the island, this can in some cases be arranged for an additional cost. Please contact our customer service at info@melimelihome.sewhen placing your order, and we will investigate the possibilities and provide a price proposal. Please note that delivery to a private pier requires that the pier is accessible and safe for transport, and that the carrier can moor with a boat.

Assembly

• All furniture is generally delivered fully assembled in one piece (1 package). This does not apply to our modular sofas where each module is delivered separately.
• Depending on the fabric choice, our Luca 3-seater sofas are delivered with one or both armrests disassembled.

Right of withdrawal and returns

• If your item is in stock at the time of your order, you have the right to return your item within 14 days from the date your order was received. The item must be in unused condition, with undamaged packaging and all tags intact.
• For sofas, armchairs, headboards, ottomans, covers or other items that are made-to-order at the time of the order, the right of withdrawal applies for 14 days from the date the order was placed. This is because the item is specially ordered or custom-made. If the right of withdrawal is exercised after 14 days from the placed order, 30% of the product price will not be refunded.
• In addition to the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, MELIMELI offers an extended right of return of a total of 100 days on our furniture, under the same conditions as for the right of withdrawal. To exercise your right of return, the product must be in saleable condition in unopened packaging.

If your product was in stock at the time of order, the full product price will be refunded upon approved return. No shipping or return costs will be refunded.
If your product was a made-to-order item instead, 70% of the product price will be refunded, with 30% down payment non-refundable. No shipping or return costs will be refunded.

• The extended right of return does not apply to products from our range of home decor items.
• Extended right of return during Christmas for home decor items: To ensure you feel confident with your Christmas gift purchases, we have extended the right of return. For all orders placed in November and December, the right of return applies until January 7. This applies to unopened packaging and upon presentation of a receipt or order number.
• To return an item, please contact us: info@melimelihome.se.
• Please note that a deduction may be made if the value of the product has decreased as a result of it being handled more than necessary to ascertain its characteristics or function. This may apply, for example, if the return conditions are not met, such as the product not being in new condition or the original packaging or wrapping being damaged or missing.

Refunds

• Refunds will be issued once the return has been received and approved.
• When exercising the right of withdrawal, the full amount for the product will be refunded. Please note that if the item has already been shipped, the shipping cost will not be refunded and you, as the customer, are responsible for the cost of return shipping.
• In case of return, you as the customer are responsible for the condition of the item during transit back.
• Return shipping for home decor items is 150 SEK. For furniture, return shipping is the same as the shipping price you paid when ordering and receiving your furniture.

Unclaimed packages or items

For smaller home decor items that can be picked up in our Stockholm store, your item will be ready for collection for 14 days from the date we processed your order. If you do not pick up your item within that timeframe, the item will be returned to stock and you will be charged an administrative fee of 50 SEK. The remaining amount will be refunded to your chosen payment method.
